Lois Furukawa

Lois Furukawa was born in Los Angeles, California on September 7, 1912. She decorated wares at Rookwood pottery beginning in 1944, and remained there until the pottery closed. She decorated from 1944 through around 1948, but then spent most of her time running the junior decorating department. Her whimsical style is not considered typical of Rookwood, and as such collector interest in her work is considered to be below average.
