Katherine Elizabeth Ley

Katherine Elizabeth Ley ("Kay") was born in 1919 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was one of the last decorators at Rookwood Pottery, decorating pieces from 1944 through 1947. She executed some floral themes but is best known for her depictions of various birds. Collector interest in her pieces is considered to be average.
