Katharine Hickman

Katharine Leslie Hickman Lynd was born in Covington, KY on January 27, 1873, a daughter of the late William Henry and Alicia Leslie Knott Hickman. she worked at the Rookwood Pottery decorating primarily Standard Glaze pieces from 1895 until 1900. On September 18, 1899, Katharine married Elijah Waring Lynd, a popular young businessman and shortly thereafter left Rookwood. Her work is considered by collectors to be above average. Katherine Hickman died at the age of 81 in 1954.
