Francis William Vreeland

Francis William Vreeland, or "Toby", was born in Seward, Nebraska in 1879. He studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy, the Art Students League in New York, and the Julian Academy in Paris. He spent only a few years decorating at Rookwood, between 1900 and 1903. In 1903 he married fellow artist Marian Smalley. His work is found primarily on Standard Glaze. Francis died in 1954 in Hollywood, California. Collector interest in his work is considered to be below average.
