Albert Frank Pons
Albert Frank Pons was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on September 24, 1888. He studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy, and joined the Rookwood decorating staff at the age of 16. He worked at Rookwood Pottery for several years, from 1904 through 1911. It was during this early arts and crafts period that he created some very interesting pieces of carved mat. Albert Pons died on December 9, 1972 in Franklin, Louisiana. Collector interest in his pieces is considered to be average.
