1958 McCoy Grecian Console Bowl #444
McCoy created so numerous lines and the Grecian is just one of many. The 24kt gold that is infused into the glaze provides a unique glitter in any light. A truly wonderful console bowl to adorn you table. This is a great collectible middle period line sure to please any collector.
We are pleased to present for your consideration this McCoy Grecian pattern console bowl from 1958. The bowl is clearly marked “McCoy USA 444” on the base with an inkstamp which reads “24kt gold”. A great console bowl that is hard to find. An example of this set can be seen on page 242 of “Warman’s McCoy Pottery” by Mark F. Moran.
Exceptional bowl in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. There is some barely detectable crazing but it does not detract from the beauty of the piece. It may appear more pronounced due to the macro lens used for the photography. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process. The white spots are studio light reflections.
